"Feels surprisingly real"
I haven’t played every mode or anything, but the realism is what stood out to me. The guns feel weighty, the sound design is kind of intense, and you really have to move carefully. It doesn’t feel like typical arcade shooting, which I’m actually into
"I tried the performance tips from insurgency-sandstorm.com..."
I tried the performance tips from insurgency-sandstorm.com because my game was stuttering badly. After changing a few settings, the FPS felt a bit more steady, so it did help make the game smoother in some spots.
That said, it wasn’t a complete fix. Some steps seemed a little outdated or unclear, so I had to test things myself to see what actually worked. It’s useful if you need a starting point, but don’t expect it to solve everything right away

"The guns have a nice heavy feel to..."
The guns have a nice heavy feel to them, like each shot actually has some weight behind it. It makes the gunplay feel really satisfying overall, even if it's just the simple thing
"Pretty good loadout options"
I’ve been messing around with the weapon customization on insurgency-sandstorm.com it’s nice. It’s not overly complicated, but there are still enough choices to make it feel like you’re actually changing things. Swapping out sights, grips, barrels and stuff is easy, and you can definitely feel the difference in how the gun handles. Some of the parts could use better explanations though… I kind of had to just try things and see what happened. But yeah, building loadouts before matches is fun. Not perfect, but overall it’s solid.
"Great when everyone’s on comms"
This game is a blast when your squad actually talks. Teaming up for tactical plays and pulling them off feels awesome. Clean. Satisfying. But with randoms who don’t use a mic, matches can turn into total chaos fast. Messy. Still, I’ve had enough fun with it that I’d say it’s definitely worth playing

"Fun game, but the people can be a lot"
the game can be fun when you get a decent server, but man, the community kinda makes it rough sometimes. There’s a lot of yelling, random team killing, and people being weirdly toxic to anyone who’s new. Some servers are chill, some are just a mess. I still hop on here and there, but yeah, it can get annoying real quick

"Fun game, but the server issues are getting old"
I actually enjoy the game a lot when it’s working, but the servers have been super frustrating lately. I keep getting random disconnects, lag spikes, or sometimes I just can’t get into a match at all. It’s happened so many times now that I’ve started skipping it most nights. The matches themselves can be really fun, so it’s a shame. I really hope they respond to these issues faster because it’s making the game hard to stick with.

"Matchmaking’s actually not garbage"
The matchmaking is decent. Most games feel fair, and I’m not constantly getting dumped into some total clown show with absolute idiots on one side steamrolling the other.

"Fun, but something feels a bit off"
I’m having fun with it overall, but something feels off sometimes. The bugs pop up often enough that they start to get annoying and kind of break the flow.

"I don’t want to be too harsh..."
I don’t want to be too harsh because I did have fun with the game here and there, but the graphics stood out to me in a not-so-great way. A lot of the textures look flat, and some of the maps feel kind of muddy or unclear. Maybe other people won’t mind it as much, but for me, I was expecting the visuals to be a bit better. It’s not awful or anything, just a little disappointing from my side.

"Updates have been feeling a bit underwhelming"
I still have fun with the game here and there, but the updates lately feel kind of weak. They seem to come slowly, and when new stuff does drop, it doesn’t really keep me hooked for long. I guess I just expected a bit more by now.

"Great maps, but I wish a few played better"
I’d give this 4 stars, mainly because the map design is really solid. A lot of the maps feel believable and there are plenty of good places to flank, take cover, or set up a smart play. That said, I do kind of regret not giving myself more time to learn them before getting frustrated, because some areas felt cramped or confusing at first. After a few rounds, they started to make more sense. I just wish a couple of the maps were balanced a bit better, but overall they’re still fun to play.

"Great gun sounds, but the audio can be confusing"
I’ll give Insurgency Sandstorm credit, the sound design is impressive most of the time. The guns have a really heavy, punchy feel, explosions can genuinely catch you off guard, and hearing footsteps or distant shots definitely adds to the tension during matches.
That said, the audio can feel kind of uneven. Sometimes enemies sound way closer or farther away than they actually are, and when too many sounds stack up, it gets muddy fast. Not saying it’s a scam, but for a game where sound matters this much, I expected it to be a little more consistent. Still decent overall, just not always clear. 3 stars from me
